SUSHIL P CHAUHAN

Sushil was born in 1977 in Nairobi, Kenya. He is a 3 rd generation Kenyan & his Great Grand Father settled in Machakos in 1892; one of the 1 st Asians to immigrate to East Africa as a trader during the building of the E.A.Railway.

He finished his high school studies & thereafter joined a local banking institution. The allure of being in the wild & studying African wildlife always lurked behind his mind constantly. Later he pursued a diploma in Tourism as a way to get closer to his passion becoming a Safari consultant.

He has worked for various tour firms in different capacities & is currently working for a leading tour operator as a Sales & Marketing Manager. He has represented his company in International Tourism Fairs in the UK, Germany, Russia & India.

His fascination for nature has allowed him to travel to most of the National Parks & Reserves in East Africa, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka & India.

The “Big Cats” hold a special place in his heart but he equally adores all the diversity of flora & fauna of the World. He feels closer to God when he is with nature & has a deep sense of conserving these natural treasures that are disappearing fast from our planet at an alarming rate.

He has volunteered at the Animal Orphanage, Nairobi Safari Walk & FONNAP (Friends of Nairobi National Park) & participated in many wildlife photographic exhibitions being a very keen nature photographer & artist.
