NIGEL DUNDAS

Nigel's career with Ker & Downey began in 1971 as the young protege' of Syd Downey, the finest mentor in the safari world. Nigel continues to convey that love of wildlife with enthusiasm, charisma, and knowledge —subtly transferring his lifelong kinship with Africa to his guests. He has an intuition which makes the days special for each member of the party .... a twelve year old guest may be asked to drive the safari car among the giraffe, while Nigel mends Mother's binoculars, or gives photographic tips to Grandfather. Nigel is patient and professional, with a gentle humour. He truly enjoys his guests, inevitably leading to many lifelong friendship. He and his American wife Barbara live on the edge of Nairobi, while their children have graduated from university, Sean is guiding as a Bronze-Level guide and Sarah who is also a Bronze-Level member, is managing a Wild Fitness at the coast.
