FIDEL KYALO

My interest in nature started in my early days in school, where I was a member of The Wildlife Clubs of Kenya. After my "o" levels in Nairobi I joined the National Museums of Kenya as a volunteer in their ornithology department, where I was responsible for arranging many of the birds eggs, slides and general water fowl census on the various Rift Valley Lakes. Not only have I have participated in World Birdwatch Day on several occasions, but in 1997 with several EAOS (now Origins Safaris) colleagues we won the worldwide competition by seeing a total of 278 species in a mere 24 hours. I hold a diploma in Tour Guiding from Kenya's Utalii College, a Diploma in The Fundamentals of Ornithology, and have a special interest in wildlife photography and art.
